Mr. 4F Polled Ice Man 3/6 (P) is a bull we own in partnership with Louie Flores of 4F Cattle Co. The story of how this bull came to be part of our bull battery is a testament to friendship and a good eye! Benton loved Ice Man ever since he saw him as a calf on the 4F show string in Houston. So much so that Louie had him rub his head to remove the "The Ojo" which loosely translates from Spanish to "The Evil Eye" or any bad vibes from the bull. Basically, Benton loved him so much and was saying so many good things about him that Louie was worried it would jinx the bull! It is a funny story, and one that led to a partnership on a bull that has greatly impacted our breeding program. Two years later, Louie gifted our family half interest in Ice Man and together we have promoted the bull to produce several high sellers in our annual production sales, for total sales generated in excess of $100,000.
He is the product of crossing two of the most proven Polled Brahman lines in the breed. Ice Man's sire is LMC Polled Sambo 45/0 who currently sits at No. 4 for total progeny registered and his dam is LMC LF Polled Elma 214/4 who sits at No. 3 in the breed. In his pedigree, you will find greats like LMC WFF Pistolero M130 (P), +Lazy J Miss Samantha 146 (P), +JDH Mr Elmo Manso and +Mr V8 279/7 (P) to name a few.
Ice Man calves are extremely long bodied and level topped with great neck extension, and his females demand high dollars in our production sales year after year. He is the sire of ECC Polled Cajun Quinn 681/1 (PP), the Homozygous Polled female who was the sale topper in our May 2023 production sale, selling for $23,000 to GB Ranch. He is also the sire of ECC LG Polled Dorothy 540/0 (P) who sold to Red Smith Genetics for $14,000, and ECC LG Polled Selena 539/0 (P) who sold to Schulte Cattle Company for $10,000. His females have the look and style for the show ring and chart positive for the performance traits of Weaning Weight, Yearling Weight, Milk and Calving Ease.

(ECC) will provide Buyer with one certificate per unit purchased at no additional cost to Buyer. AI certificates are non-transferable and will only be released to Buyer's ABBA No. or an immediate family member. Additional certificates may be purchased from ECC for $100 per certificate.
