The high selling bull in our May 2023 "Brahmans on the Rio" Production Sale! Every year we select a bull that we believe is the best of the calf crop for that year, and market him through our annual production sale. Last year, the selection was a no brainer. When 662/1 hit the ground, we knew he would be special! He is the first natural calf out of our young donor, ECC Polled Fancy 114/8 (P), and is a son of the most proven herd sire in our bull battery, ECC El Caporal 301 (S).  

We love the overall thickness of 662/1 and his extreme depth of flank. In addition to his great Brahman breed character, and ideal hump placement, 662/1 has a near perfect angle to his sheath and great testicular development. He is a low birth weight sire with an actual BW of 71 pounds.

On the top side of his pedigree, 662/1 goes back to several breed influencers, including (+) JDH Karu Manso 800, (+) Cross Fire 02/2, LMC WFF Pistolero M130 (P), and LMC Polled Sambo 45/0 (P) who is the sire of Caporal. The bottom side of his pedigree is packed with Maternal Merit performance sires and dams from the great D Bar Ranch of Erath, Louisiana. His dam, ECC Polled Fancy 114/8 (P) is out of D Bar Miss 768/1 who also produced ECC Polled Chief 719 (P). Fancy's sire is Bardia Ambassador who also sired ECC Polled Maverick 302/9 (P), who is widely recognized as one of the best Polled Brahman bulls in the world.
